Cat food; what can my cat eat and what not?

Cat food; what can my cat eat and what not?

Cats are picky eaters so sometimes we think cats know what is best for them. But even some common foods are bad for your cat. So if you want to give your furry friend a little extra don’t give them this:

Tuna, tuna can be addicting for a cat but a diet of tuna prepared for humans can cause malnutrition and mercury poisoning. Onion because onion in all forms can break down a cat’s red blood cells. Also, most cats are lactose intolerant so milk and other dairy products are not good for them. The effects alcohol has on the human brain and liver are the same effects your cat will suffer from. Grapes and raisins can cause kidney failure for cats. And caffeine in a large enough quantity can be fatal for a cat. Chocolate is no treat for your cat as well, it can be lethal. Fat trimmings and bones, your leftovers from dinner are not welcome in the cats stomach and raw eggs, meat and fish can cause food poisoning. Liver can affect your cats bones,  your own medicine can poison your cat so keep it somewhere safe. And even common items that can be found on kitchen shelves can harm your cat.

So, even though your cat shows his cutest self don’t give in! He doesn’t know the consequences.
